Getawaysailing is the only PRIVATE GOLD COAST Whale watching charter, therefore no crowds - just your private group on the yacht! Everybody has a perfect view and you can request changes in how you want to see these amazing animals. We are not the average tour operator, we offer an exclusive private charter during which you feel you have your own private yacht.
Twice as long with the whales in comparison to other tours. We stay out on the water with the whales while the other companies do two tours within the same time. We depart 8-9am return 1-2pm, but for calm seas earlier departure can be arranged. .
Enjoy the silence of sailing over the pacific ocean with the humpback whales. Our hydrophone allowing us to listen live to the beautiful natural chatter between the whales.

5 hr Tipplers Lunch Cruise
Tipplers Cafe on South Stradbroke. Beach walks and swim, live music and great food.
Sailing on the Gold Coasts tranquil Broad Water passing the famous Efron and Sovereign Islands en route to Tipplers Passage. Once past the rich and famous housing we enter the national parks of South Stradbroke Island, here we tack towards Tipplers Cafe for this is our luncheon destination. If you want to extend your sail add an extra $150/hr.

Sailing Lessons
During 4 hours brush up on your Sailing skills.
Enjoy a sailing lesson on the Gold Coast with Getaway Sailing on the Gold Coast. Our vessel is an ex bare boat charter vessel from the Pittwater Sydney but now has been in the maritime survey for the last 12 years and has all the required equipment for ocean crossing incl. Radar and AIS. She is perfect for you to refresh your sailing skills.
Our skipper will help with the vessel doing as little or as much as you wish them to do, and you can ask questions and have the skipper run you through the basics again, or if it's the first time you will be bare boat hiring we can show you how a cruising sailing boat works. Grant our skipper has 40 years of sailing experience, has participated in yacht racing and is passionate to pass on his skills.
